Metal distributor Ryerson to open service center in El Paso, Texas

US-based metal distributor Ryerson Inc. has announced plans to open a service center in El Paso, Texas, US with planned commissioning date of mid-October.

The 25,000 square feet (2,320 meter square) El Paso facility will service the El Paso/Juarez, Mexico market and will distribute a wide range of carbon, aluminum and stainless steel products in a variety of shapes. The facility will operate with local sales and operations staff.  

"Investing in El Paso is an opportunity for Ryerson to expand its geographic reach and improve service to customers in the Mexico market," said Chip Kennedy, president of Ryerson's West region, who is responsible for the El Paso operation.
