Mechel starts coking coal concentrate production at Elga deposit

Russian mining and steel group Mechel has announced the holding of successful tests of coking coal concentrate production equipment at the seasonal washing plant of the Elga coal deposit in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Adjusting and start-up procedures for the equipment for producing coking coal concentrate at the Elga seasonal washing plant have been completed. The plant is due to be launched at full capacity before the end of August.
