Mechel and Danieli ink partnership agreement

The Russian steel and mining group Mechel has announced the conclusion of a partnership agreement with Italian plantmaker Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A (Danieli) for the implementation of modernization and reconstruction projects at Mechel's steel producing facilities. The duration of the agreement is three years.

Under the scope of the agreement, Danieli will provide Mechel with engineering and technical support to assist the implementation of Mechel's modernization and re-equipment projects at subsidiaries including Russia-based Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, and Romania-based Mechel Targoviste and Mechel Campia Turzii.
