Masteel's steel wheel sales total RMB 1.8 billion in 2011

Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Maanshan Iron and Steel Co. (Masteel) has announced that in 2011 its sales of steel wheels and related parts totaled 200,000 mt, reaching a value of RMB 1.8 billion ($285 million). The company also stated that it has achieved shares in the steel wheel markets of South Korea, North America, Australia, India and Turkey.
 
According to the company statement, in January this year its sales of steel wheels exceeded the targeted volume, totaling 18,345 mt.
 
In 2011, Masteel exported 30,000 mt of steel wheels to Australia. In addition, in the given year it also received an order for 10,000 mt of truck wheels from Brazil.
