Masteel sees 19 percent fall in operating revenue in 2014

On March 26, Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Maanshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd (Masteel) announced its financial results for 2014. Accordingly, Masteel's operating revenues for the year in question amounted to RMB 59.821 billion ($9.56 billion), down 19 percent year on year, while it registered a net profit of RMB 220.6 million ($35.24 million), increasing by 40.32 percent year on year. In 2014, Masteel produced 18.38 million mt of finished steel, up 1.4 percent year on year.
