Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Masteel has announced an operating revenue of RMB 35.188 billion ($5.39 billion) in the first half of the current year, up 67.55 percent year on year, while it registered a net profit of RMB 1.643 billion ($0.252 billion), indicating a sharp rise compared to a net profit of RMB 452.7 million in the same period last year.
In the first half of the current year, Masteel produced 7.31 million mt of pig iron, 7.84 million mt of crude steel and 7.33 million mt of finished steel, up 10.93 percent, 11.84 percent and 11.74 percent year on year, respectively.
