Malaysia's Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) has announced that it has terminated its antidumping (AD) duty investigation on hot rolled coil (HRC) imports from Taiwan, following the withdrawal of the relevant petition.

The investigation was initiated in July this year upon a complaint from Malaysia-based flat steel producer Megasteel Sdn Bhd. claiming that HRC imports from Taiwan caused serious material injury to the domestic industry.

The goods subject to investigation are currently classified under Harmonized System Code Numbers 7213.10.000, 7213.20.000, 7213.91.000 and 7213.99.000.
