As announced by the local authorities in the district of Nanhai in the city of Foshan in
China's Guangdong Province, construction work has commenced on a new logistics center in Nanhai, which is expected to be the most important steel processing and distribution base in
China. With a planned investment of RMB 6 billion, the logistics center will cover a total area of 933,380 m2, while construction is expected to be completed in 2013.
The new steel processing and distribution base will have the advantage of easy access to the Guangzhou-Zhuhai railway, the most important freight depot of which is located at the Foshan freight yards in Danzao in the district of Nanhai in Foshan.
