Macsteel announces expansion to Arizona

Macsteel Service Centers USA Inc has announced plans to construct a $10 million metals manufacturing and distribution facility in Tuscon, Arizona. The facility will process and distribute a broad variety of steel products to the company's growing customer base in the Southwest US and Mexico. "We are seeing a steady growth in our business in the Western US and Tucson is a strategic hub for that business in the Southwest US and Mexico and a perfect fit with our current locations," stated Macsteel president and CEO Michael Hoffman. The new service center is slated to open in late 2006. Macsteel Service Centers USA has 32 locations which distribute flat rolled, plate, tubing, pipe, bar, and structural products as well as stainless, aluminum, and specialty metal products to customers throughout North America, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
