Macarthur updates Middlemount coal reserve levels

Queensland, Australia-based low-volatile metallurgical coal producer Macarthur Coal Limited has announced that Middlemount Coal Pty Ltd, an incorporated joint venture between Macarthur Coal and Chinese trading house Noble Group, has reported an increase in JORC coal resources.

According to a Macarthur statement, the latest reserve levels are as follows: measured resources - 89.3 million mt, indicated resources - 31.5 million mt, and inferred resources - 1.8 million mt, suming up to a total of 122.6 million mt.

The upgrade in the resources is the result of further exploration drilling across the Middlemount mining lease in Queensland.
