On July 10, Guangxi Province-based Liuzhou Steel issued new ex-factory prices for certain products. The details are as follows:
1. The price of rebar has not changed. As a result, the new price of HRB 335 18-25 mm rebar is at RMB 5,720/mt ($836/mt), 16 mm costs RMB 5,770/mt ($844/mt), 12 mm costs RMB 5,890/mt ($861/mt) and 14 mm is at RMB 5,820/mt ($851/mt).
2. The producer's wire rod prices have remained stable. Thus,the price of Q235 6.5 mm wire rod is still at RMB 6,110/mt ($893/mt).
3. Shipbuilding plate has increased by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt), while the prices of other plates have not changed. In Liuzhou Q235 14-20 mm common carbon plate costs RMB 7,170/mt ($1,048/mt), while Q345 14-20 mm low alloy plate is at RMB 7,370/mt ($1,077/mt). In addition, the price of 14-20 mm shipbuilding plate is now at RMB 8,000/mt ($1,170/mt).
4. HRC prices have remained stable from June levels, and so the price of Q235 12 mm x 1,500 mm x C remains at RMB 6,420/mt ($939/mt), 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm x C still costs RMB 6,250/mt ($914/mt), while 5.5 mm x 1,800 mm x C is still at RMB 6,310/mt ($923/mt).
5. The producer's ex-factory section steel prices have remained unchanged. Thus the price of 8-22#GB channel stays at RMB 4,820/mt ($669/mt), while the price of 8-10#Q235 angles is at RMB 6,040/mt ($883/mt).
The above prices include taxes (17 percent VAT) and are effective as of July 10.
