Liuzhou Steel increases ex-factory plate prices

SteelOrbis Shanghai On December 31, Guangxi Province-based Liuzhou Steel announced an upward adjustment to its ex-factory prices of medium plate and HR sheet. 1. Liuzhou Steel's plate prices are as follows. The price of 6 mm common carbon plate and low-alloy plate increased RMB 250/mt ($32/mt) to RMB 4,760/mt ($610/mt), that of 8 mm increased RMB 260/mt ($33/mt) to RMB 4,620/mt ($592/mt), while that of >10 mm increased RMB 50/mt ($6/mt). The prices of 14-20 mm are at RMB 4,000/mt ($513/mt) after the adjustment. Also, the price of 6-7 mm shipbuilding plate rose RMB 250/mt ($32/mt), while that of 8 mm increased RMB 220/mt ($28/mt), and that of >9 mm increased 100/mt ($13/mt). 2. The mill's hot rolled coil prices increased RMB 20/mt ($3/mt). As a result, the price of Q235 5.75 mm is at RMB 3,950/mt ($506/mt). The above prices all include taxes and are effective as of December 31, 2006.
