The source close to Lissine reported that Russian billionaire Vladimir Lissine, the largest shareholder of NLMK, wants to acquire 15 percent stake in Arcelor. However, Vladimir Lissine refused to comment on ’this market speculation'. On the other hand, Arcelor's representatives neither confirmed, nor refused this information. The European sources commented, ’Arcelor with its high quality steel production capacity, can well be a suitable partner for low-cost production of slabs at NLMK.'
