Lingyuan Steel posts record turnover of RMB 10.5 billion in 2009

In 2009, Liaoning-based Chinese steel producer Lingyuan Steel produced 3.07 million mt of steel and registered a record sales turnover of RMB 10.5 billion ($1.54 billion), despite the relatively sluggish situation in the steel markets.

Meanwhile, Lingyuan Steel exported 170,000 mt of finished steel in 2009, generating nearly $10 million in foreign currency.

During the year in question, Lingyuan Steel has made great progress in its technical development, with 42 key technical indices reaching record highs, including consumption of electricity and water per metric ton of steel produced.
