Hunan Province-based Chinese steel producer Lianyuan Iron and Steel Group (Lianyuan Steel) has announced that the first stage of its new steel processing and distribution center has been successfully commissioned. The new center is called Wuyi Liangang Steel Processing and Distribution Co.
The overall project is jointly invested by Lianyuan Steel and Zhejiang Province-based Ganghai Group, with a total investment of RMB 300 million ($47.2 million). With the commissioning of the first stage, the new center will have an annual processing capacity of 150,000 mt of steel
plate for doors and for household appliances and also of auto sheet. Once the whole project is completed, it will have an annual processing capacity of 700,000 mt of cold rolled steel.
