Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Lianyuan Iron and Steel Co. (Lianyuan Steel), a subsidiary of Hunan Valin Iron and Steel Group, has announced that in the month of April up to April 16 its order intake of finished specialty steel products exceeded 100,000 mt.

According to Lianyuan Steel, demand for pipeline steel and low alloy steel for bridge construction increased in March due to project startups amid the warmer weather. Accordingly, the sales department of Lianyuan Steel seized the opportunity to expand its strategic cooperation with larger customers, and was active in focusing on large projects. In addition, Lianyuan Steel also made appropriate adjustments to its product structure.
