Lianfeng Steel commissions blast furnace No. 3

On October 19, Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Lianfeng Iron & Steel (Zhangjiagang) Co. (Lianfeng Steel), a subsidiary of Jiangsu-based Chinese steelmaker Yonggang Group Co., successfully commissioned its 1,080 m3 blast furnace No. 3, as reported by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Corporation (MCC) on October 21. Construction work on the production line was carried out by MCC subsidiary China MCC17 Group Metallurgy Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. The blast furnace in question has a designed annual molten iron output capacity of 1.2 million mt.

Construction work started on the project on December 1, 2012, and took 10 months to complete.
