Leggett & Platt posts $52.7 million net profit in Q2

On July 22, Carthage, Missouri, US-based Leggett & Platt (Leggett), a leading producer of drawn steel wire and bed springs in addition to other manufacturing products, issued its financial results for the second quarter of 2010, stating that the company achieved a net profit of $52.7 million, which is 177 percent higher than the year-ago period. In the given period, Leggett's net sales rose 15 percent year on year, reaching $874.3 million.
 
Leggett anticipates full year 2010 sales of approximately $3.2-3.4 billion and earnings per share of $1.10-1.30.
