Lebanon’s rebar imports increase by 34.3 percent in Jan-Feb

According to data provided by Lebanese customs, in the January-February period of this year Lebanon's rebar imports amounted to 109,862 metric tons, rising by 34.3 percent year on year. The imports in question totaled $50.48 million in value, up 37.84 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
 
Meanwhile, the country's wire rod imports in the period in question came to 26,634 metric tons, climbing by 244 percent, while the value of these imports increased by 275 percent, reaching $12.55 million, both compared to the first two months of 2009.
