LD X80 spiral-welded steel pipe produced in China for first time

Large diameter (LD) X80 spiral-welded steel pipe has been produced for the first time in China by Hebei Province-based pipe producer North China Petroleum Steel Pipe Co., as reported by China Petroleum Daily. The pipe in question has a diameter of 1,422 mm and wall thickness of 21.4 mm.
North China Petroleum Steel Pipe Co. is a joint venture of Tianjin-based Bohai Equipment Manufacturing Co. and CNPC Hong Kong, both subsidiaries of Beijing-based China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The company targets an annual output of 700,000 mt and annual sales revenues exceeding RMB 5 billion ($790 million).
