Welland, Ontario-based steel pipe and tubing manufacturer, Lakeside Steel Inc., announced Monday that it will temporarily halt production and issue an additional 84 temporarily layoffs of hourly employees at its wholly owned subsidiary, Lakeside Steel Corporation.

According to the press statement, Lakeside Steel is closing the plant effective as of February 2nd until February 9th, and will temporarily lay off 84 workers for an indefinite amount of time.
