Laiwu Special Steel develops 42CrMo4 steel for semi-axle shafts

Chinese steelmaker Shandong Iron and Steel Group has announced that its subsidiary Laiwu Special Steel has succeeded in producing 1,228 mt of 42CrMo4 steel for application in semi-axle shafts of heavy-duty automotive vehicles.
 
The batch of products in question will be delivered to China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co. With this new product, Laiwu Special Steel expects to expand its presence in the market for automotive grade steel.
