Konecranes introduces new crane for steel handling and warehousing

Konecranes, a Finland-based company specialized in industrial lifting equipment, has introduced SMARTON, an industrial crane to be utilized in various industrial sectors such as steel handling and warehousing, automotive, general manufacturing, power, workshops, automatic storage systems and mining.
 
A press release issued by Konecranes said that SMARTON can lift loads ranging from 30 mt to more than 500 mt and the crane's system can easily be updated with smart solutions to meet changes in the customer's business and process needs.
 
In addition, the crane, which is made of 98 percent recyclable material, monitors its own condition and recommends when and what kinds of inspection or preventive maintenance should be performed.
