Kezhou Ganxin to build 1 million mt high-strength steel production line

Xinjiang region-based Chinese steelmaker Kezhou Ganxin Iron and Steel Co., Ltd has announced that it will start construction of its sintering machine project of high-strength steel production line with annual capacity of 1 million mt.

According to the company, this high-strength steel production line, based in Artux, Xinjiang, includes raw material yard, sinter, blast furnace, converter, billet continuous casting machine, bar rolling production line and the supplementary facilities. The project is expected to have an annual production capacity of 1.12 million mt of pig iron, 1.03 million mt of crude steel and 0.96 million mt of finished steel once it is officially commissioned in late July, 2013.

180 m³ sintering machine with annual production capacity of 1.8 million mt will be constructed by Zhongye Changtian International Engineering Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China Metallurgical Group Corporation.
