Kerim Çelik, a flat steel processor which is part of
Turkey-based Borusan Holding, has announced that it has opened its fourth branch in the southern Turkish city of Adana, due to the geographical location and the signs of economic recovery observed in the region. The company has three other branches in
Turkey - in Istanbul, Bursa and Manisa.
Kerim Çelik managing director Kerem Çakır indicated that they chose Adana for their fourth location due to the fact that the Iskenderun Bay area has become one of
Turkey's most important iron and steel production bases, while exports from the region are expected to improve when political uncertainty in the
Middle East and North Africa subsides.
The Adana location will be capable of processing coils, slitted coils, plates, corrugated
galvanized sheet and coils, slitted coiled
plate, cold rolled sheet, hot rolled sheet and pickled and oiled sheet.
With an annual sheet processing capacity of 500,000 mt, Kerim Çelik provides services for the automotive, white goods, small appliance, heating and cooling, and ventilation industries, and also for steel service centers.
