Kazakhstan issues Q1 data

According to the data released by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency of Statistics, in the first three months of 2007 the country registered a 13.9 percent increase in its crude steel production, a 24.9 percent increase in its production of flat rolled (including a 71.7 percent rise for tin-plate and tin-plated sheet and a seven percent increase for galvanized steel), and a 2.6 percent rise in its ferroalloys production year on year.
 
The respective figures in metric tons were 1.1 million, 811,300 (including 46,354 for tin-plates and tin-plated sheets and 143,916 for galvanized steel) and 421,815.
