Kazakhstan issues Jan-May data

According to the data released by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency of Statistics, in the first five months of 2007 the country registered a 10.7 percent increase in its crude steel production, a 15 percent increase in its production of flat rolled, and a 3.3 percent rise in its ferroalloys production year on year.

The respective figures in metric tons were 1.9 million, 1.4 million and 703,182.
