Kazakhstan issues 2006 production data

According to the data released by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency of Statistics, in 2006 the country registered a 6.8 percent decrease in its crude steel production, a 3.2 percent decrease in its production of flat rolled (including a 25.5 percent decrease in tinplate and a 3.2 percent decrease in galvanized steel), and a 5.5 percent rise in its ferroalloys production year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 4.17 million, three million (including 165,914 for tinplate and 860,000 for galvanized steel), and 14.8 million.
