At the end of October this year, the number of employees in metal production and processing in Germany declined one percent as compared to the same time last year to around 241,000, according to Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
Meanwhile, as of the end of October employment in the manufacture of metal products in Germany indicated a slight increase of 0.8 percent year on year to 504,000.
