J&L Specialty Steel increases its prices

According to recent news in the market, US flat rolled stainless steel producer J&L Specialty Steel has announced that it increased prices of its stainless steel products of all grades. The new prices will be in effect as of January 4, 2004. The company officials stated that discounts in the prices are reduced by 2%, resulting in a 6% increase in the prices, however the current surcharge on raw materials and fuel and the price list of the company, dated September 2001 will remain in effect.
