JISCO Hongxing Steel to produce 5.20 million mt of pig iron in 2016

Gansu Province-based Chinese steel producer Hongxing Steel, a listed subsidiary of Gansu-based steelmaker Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group (JISCO), has announced that it plans to produce 5.20 million mt of pig iron in 2016, at a production cost of RMB 1,235.8/mt ($187.81/mt).
 
In 2015, JISCO Hongxing Steel produced 5.40 million mt of pig iron, at a production cost of RMB 1,291.8/mt ($196.32/mt).
