Jindal reveals details of Orissa plant project

Indian steel producer Jindal Stainless Steel (JSL) has recently revealed the details of the project regarding establishment of Orissa stainless steel plant. For the project, Jindal will invest Rupees 70 billion ($1.5 billion). The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed by March 2005. The plant will have capacity of producing 80'000 tons of ferro alloy products and 800'000 tons of stainless steel in the first phase. In the second phase, these volumes are planned to be doubled. In the third phase, hot rolling and cold rolling mills will be installed to the plant
