Jinan Steel exports nearly 800,000 mt in the first half

SteelOrbis Shanghai In January-June period, Shandong province based Jinan Steel exported 792,900 mt of steel products with $297 million value, up 21 percent and 9 percent year on year respectively. Both steel plate and rebar exports saw rapid increases in the first half of the year. Steel plates' export volume increased 71.6 percent and value 29.1 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the export of shipbuilding plate rose to nearly 30,000 mt, almost doubling the quantity in the same period of 2005. In the first 6 months, Jinan Steel exported its products to more than 20 countries. The largest buyer was South Korea.
