Jigang Group to commission first phase of steel section/pipe project

Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jigang Group has announced that it expects to commission the first phase of its new steel section and pipe project by May 10.

The first phase, which costs a total investment of RMB 315 million ($50 million), includes four production lines: one 2,000 mm x 16 mm slitting line, a 189 mm x 16 mm rolling mill, an LW 1,200 mm x 19 mm rolling mill and an LW 1,500 mm x 16 mm rolling mill, with an overall annual output capacity of 300,000 mt. The main products will include square and rectangular tubing, structural round pipe, steel sheet piling, channel bars, angles, and cold formed steel hollow sections.
