Japan's steel exports up 6.40 percent in Nov over Oct

In November this year, Japan's iron and steel products exports amounted to 3.36 million metric tons, increasing by 2.56 percent year on year and up by 6.40 percent compared to October this year. Meanwhile, Japan's steel imports totaled 756,272 metric tons, with a month-on-month increase of 11.82 percent and a year-on-year increase of 11.03 percent, according to the customs statistics released by the Japanese Ministry of Finance.

In given month, Japan's iron and steel products exports to Asian countries increased by 2.02 percent month on month to 2.63 million metric tons, but decreased by 6.57 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in November this year Japan's iron and steel products import from Asian countries totaled 625,812 metric tons, up by 12.25 percent year on year and by 8.57 percent compared to previous month. China was the second source for Japan's iron and steel product imports, amounting to 99,407 metric tons.
