Japan's steel exports fell 8.1 percent year on year to 2.56 million metric tons in February 2006.

Korea fell 0.6 percent year on year to 640,863 metric tons in February, while those to
China decreased 0.4 percent to 465,446 metric tons.
Furthermore,
Japan's steel exports to
Thailand fell 34.5 percent to 247,868 metric tons, while those to
Taiwan decreased 8.5 percent to 234,357 metric tons.
On the other hand,
Japan's steel exports to the US jumped 45.8 percent to 161,698 metric tons.
