According to statistics released by
Japan's Ministry of Finance,
Japan's
stainless flat steel exports totaled 36,581 metric tons in September this year, rising by 22.45 percent month on month and up 27 percent compared to September 2010.
In September,
Japan's
stainless flat steel exports to South Korea decreased by 13.37 percent month on month to 16,192 metric tons, while a rise of 68.91 percent was registered compared to September 2010. Taiwan imported 6,873 metric tons from
Japan in September this year, up 467 percent compared to 1,210 mt recorded in August this year and up 2.54 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the January-September period of 2011,
Japan's
stainless flat steel exports amounted to 325,404 metric tons, rising by 3.24 percent year on year.
In the first nine months of the year, Japanese
stainless flat steel exports to South Korea totaled 140,403 metric tons, while exports to China amounted to 63,277 metric tons, increasing by 5.86 percent and up 20.26 percent respectively, both compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
