Japan’s cold rolled steel exports up 4.3 percent in H1

According to statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's cold rolled steel coil and sheet exports totaled 259,059 metric tons in June this year, falling by 15.4 percent compared to May and down 1.9 percent year on year.
 
In the first half of the current year, Japan's cold rolled steel exports increased by 4.3 percent compared to the same half of the previous year, amounting to 1.7 million mt.
 
In the first half this year, China was Japan's largest cold rolled steel export destination, receiving a total of 507,868 metric tons, down 5.9 percent, while Thailand and Indonesia followed China receiving 255,339 mt and 202,085 mt, increasing by 29.6 percent and down 2.6 percent respectively, all year on year.
