Japan’s automobile output down 6.7 percent in November

Japan's automobile production in November this year was recorded at 802,009 units according to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) on December 27. The figure represents a decrease of 57,613 units or 6.7 percent compared to the same month of 2009.

Domestic sales in November stood at 323,600 vehicles, down 25.9 percent as compared with the same month of the previous year.
 
Meanwhile, the country's automobile exports in November this year were up 37,957 units or 9.6 percent compared to the corresponding month of 2009, totaling 432,585 units. The revenue generated by these exports amounted to $12.75 billion, including $9.42 billion for vehicles and $3.33 billion for parts. This revenue indicates a rise of 16.4 percent as compared to November 2009.
