Japan’s auto output drops for 11th month in row

Japanese automobile production in July this year totaled 910,114  units, decreasing by 13,405 units or 1.45 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Japan's auto output indicated a year-on-year decline for the 11th consecutive month in July, according to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA).

Domestic automobile sales in July this year in Japan stood at 472,111 vehicles, down eight percent as compared with the same month of the previous year. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in July amounted to 413,920 units, down by 4,038 units or one percent compared to July 2012 and decreasing on year-on-year basis for the 12th consecutive month.
