Japanese auto output down 2.6 percent in September

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in September this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 828,817 units, decreasing by 22,360 units or 2.6 percent compared to the same month of 2014, decreasing for the 15th consecutive month on year-on-year basis. 
 
In September, domestic automobile sales in Japan stood at 479,375 vehicles, down 7.6 percent as compared with the same month of 2014. Meanwhile, the country's automobile exports in September this year amounted to 419,005 units, up by 8,824 units or 2.2 percent year on year.
