Japanese auto output down 0.5 percent in October

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in October this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 813,110 units, decreasing by 3,970 units or 0.5 percent compared to the same month of 2014, declining for the 16th consecutive month on year-on-year basis. 
 
In October, domestic automobile sales in Japan stood at 380,089 vehicles, down 4.1 percent as compared with the same month of 2014. Meanwhile, the country's automobile exports in October this year amounted to 416,472 units, up by 15,233 units or 3.8 percent year on year.
