Japanese industrial production falls for third month in a row in August

In August, Japan's seasonally adjusted industrial production declined by 0.3 percent as compared to the previous month, showing a decrease for the third month in a row. Meanwhile, on year-on-year basis, the country's industrial production in August witnessed an increase of 15.4 percent.
 
In August, seasonally adjusted iron and steel production in Japan declined by 1.3 percent, while producers' iron and steel shipments rose by 1.3 percent and iron and steel inventories were down 3.1 percent, all compared to the previous month.
