Japanese crude steel output down two percent in November from October

In November this year, Japanese crude steel production was down two percent compared to the previous month, while it decreased by 1.1 percent compared to November 2013, totaling 9.17 million mt, according to the data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF).
 
Meanwhile, in November Japan's pig iron production totaled 6.95 million metric tons, decreasing by 3.2 percent compared to the previous month and increasing by 1.4 percent year on year.

In the first 11 months of the current year, the country's pig iron output stood at 76.9 million metric tons, up 0.1 percent, while its crude steel production came to 101.6 million metric tons, increasing by 0.4 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
