Japanese auto output down 6.5 percent in March

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in March this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 878,488 units, decreasing by 61,335 units or 6.5 percent compared to the same month of 2014, decreasing for the ninth consecutive month on year-on-year basis.
 
Domestic automobile sales in March Japan stood at 695,411 vehicles, down 11.2 percent as compared with the same month of 2014.
 
In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in March this year amounted to 396,796 units, up by 10,848 units or 2.8 percent year on year.
