The US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted yesterday to conduct full five-year reviews ("sunset") concerning the countervailing duty order on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Brazil and the antidumping duty orders on the same product from Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, Moldova, Trinidad and Tobago, and Ukraine.

As a result of yesterday's vote, the ITC will conduct full reviews to determine whether the revocation of these orders would be likely to lead to a continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries.

The interested parties are requested to submit their comments regarding the ITC's decision. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate adequate interest in a full review. If the responses are indicative of sufficient interest, the ITC will conduct full reviews, which include public hearings and questionnaires.
