ITC starts investigation on import restrictions
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has decided to initiate fourth update on import restrictions applied by Washington to reveal the effects of the import restraints on US consumers, on the activities of US firms, on the income and employment of US workers and on the net economic welfare of the US.
ITC officials state that, although the investigations are completed, Section 201 measures such as the current safeguard measures applied on thirteen groups of steel products are included in the periodic reviews, import restraints resulting from anti-dumping, countervailing, anti-subsidy duties are not included.
