ITC initiates sunset review for CTL plates from six countries

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) today voted to conduct full sunset reviews (five-year reviews) of countervailing duty orders on cut-to-length carbon steel plate imported from India, Indonesia, Italy and Korea and antidumping duty orders on the same product imported from France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan and Korea. As a result of the voting, the ITC decided to conduct full sunset reviews to determine whether the revocation of the orders would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury for US domestic industries. Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the decision. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate an adequate or inadequate level of interest in a full review. If the responses are adequate, the ITC will conduct a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires.
