Cividale, Friuli-based Italian steelmaker and foundry Acciaieria Fonderia Cividale (AFC), subsidiary of Italy's Gruppo Cividale, has received an order for 10 turbine cases from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, which is the main state-owned group in the energy industry in India.

The contract for the supply of 10 high alloyed steel one-piece turbine cases (60 mt each) has a value of €15 million. This significant order confirms the recovery of AFC's core markets, witnessed by the sharp increase in the intake of new orders.

AFC has already supplied several products to the Indian company for the construction of power stations, i.e., nine turbine inner casings, two high pressure turbine cases, six Pelton wheels and three Francis runners  for hydraulic power stations.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited is a world-leading power plantmaker, involved in the development of a major project for the construction of new power stations with capacities of 500 MW and 1,000 MW.
