Italy’s steel exports up 12.1 percent in 2011, imports up six percent

According to the statistics released by the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in 2011 Italy's steel imports reached 17.37 million metric tons, increasing by six percent, while its steel exports totaled 16.966 million metric tons, up 12.1 percent, both compared to the previous year.
